WAS SHABBY NOW RATHER CHIC!

This I am ashamed to say is my very favorite footstool!

Yes, SHABBY to say the least. My Mum, Jill found this at a local op shop and it has served us very well. Especially when hubby, Chuck had his knee replacement. BUT, it really was beyond it so I brought home some Moda fabric from the shop and 2 hours later Voila!!!

Think I will now make some cushions to match too!

Oh in this pic Tess our rather old lady ( one of our 3 dogs) decided she should pose with the new footstool!

While on the track of thinking outside the square. I have a canvas above our bed. Every now and then I get sick of the fabric covering it and bring home something new.

Here's the new look canvas.

I think it looks good anyway!

So the moral of this story?

Patchwork fabric is not just for quilts!!

Keep on stitching or covering !

WOW!!! Penny what a transformation!! You've got me thinking now - so I'm hunting around the house for something to "Moda-vate" too lol. A friend of mine found a fabulous ottamon at a garage sale and re-did it in Amy Butler fabrics ... it turned out gawjus too :o).
