CRAZY PATCHWORK GIRLS

On Saturday one of our 5 Crazy Patchwork Groups under the tuition of our Jenny met at the shop. Sandra came and had some Show and Tell.

Sandra has knitted her bag and then covered it with Yoyo's with a button in the centre of each one. She said she randomly picked a Yoyo out of a bucket to put on which gives a great scrappy look. Well done Sandra, we love your bag. Sandra's friend Lynley comes all the way from the Gold Coast (2 hour drive) each month for her Crazy Patchwork. Sandra and Lynley went to High School together so they are great pals. They both talked about their Textiles teacher and how lovely she was. Lynley still has her sampler bag she made in High School.

I think her teacher would be very proud of her work now too!!

Lynley talked about how her teacher would encourage the girls and enter their things in local shows. Let's hope the next generation of stitchers get the same encouragement and continue with the passion for stitching these girls have.

Oh, by the way it is our Local Show on Friday so we will only be open until 12 noon,

but will be open 9am - ,2pm on Saturday.
