Hi,
We're back. It has been so very busy that I have just not had a chance to blog for ages. We have not even done our newsletter for the last 2 months but one did go out on Saturday night as promised!
When I arrived at the shop on Friday there was Cindy with baby Mack on her hip. "OOH" I said "We need a baby to show off our Sit me Up Donut kit. Mack seems to be happy to oblige. Don't you think he is just the cutest!
Then I showed his Mum the new little apron sample we had in and said "Now I need a toddler or pre-schooler to show off this sample." "I'll go home and get my four year old" she said. So Elke came down and modeled the CHILD'S PLAY apron for us. How cute does she look. The apron has pockets for crayons and a cute little pouch to go with it.
Thanks Cindy for lending us your precious little darlings!
Magoo wanted to have a turn at sitting in the Donut too! He is such a naughty monkey.
The other day Ethel our shop dummy saw this Combi parked outside the shop. As the theme for the Quilter's Trail was Beach Party and one of the blocks for the quilt was a combi, Ethel in her hula skirt insisted I take her photo while she posed in front. I don't know who owned the combi but thanks for allowing us to humour Ethel. Ethel is now looking forward to heading off to Bundaberg in the next couple of weeks to the SEW WHATS CRAFTY expo. Come vist us there if you can.
On Thursday we had a quick class for Magoo the monkey and Phoebe the elephant.Above is Dawn she chose to make a Phoebe. She got her just about finished other than the stuffing.
Sandra chose to make Magoo. She got lots done with just a bit to finish at home.
We just loved the fabrics the girls chose to make their softies. In fact I think I better make some new ones too just so I can have a play with the fun fabrics.
Better go got to put the binding on the Thursday night quilt. That means I can sit with it over my knee on this chilly evening to stitch the binding down.
Keep on stitching,
