Oh my goodness we have so much news to catch up with it is hard to know where to start.Think you better make a cuppa to drink while reading this posting!
In the last weekend of March we had the lovely Kellie Wulfsohn of Don't look Now come to teach a workshop at the shop once again. This is the 3rd time we have had the pleasure on Kellie teaching a workshop and we have already booked her for 2 more next year! We already have an expressions of interest list for these. Here are Kellie and I out for dinner on the Saturday night.
Here is a pic of all the girls in the class with their projects.
Here is Kellie taking the photo.
Here are Kellie and I in the shop with her Garden Party quilt hanging above.
Now I had a lovely lady Karen ring me to arrange that the Beenleigh Quilter's would meet with she and her Mum Judy at the shop to cleebrate Judy's 70th birthday. Karen and her Mum Judy had moved to Gympie some time ago. So they and a couple of patchworkers drove south and the group from Beenleigh drove north last Tuesday and met at the shop. Karen brought some yummy food and the ladies enjoyed a Patchwork Angel cuppa. The Beenleigh girls presented Judy with a book of friendship blocks to commemorate her 70th. How lucky is Judy to not only have such a caring daughter but also to have such good mates! Here is a picture of Judy with daughter Karen behind her in black and a few Beenleigh patchworkers too!
It was such a treat for us to be a part of this celebration and what a great idea!
Now onto more pictures from the Quilter's Trail. Here's Ethal our shop dummy all ready to PARTY!
Here's Ethal who met a real Ethel this week while she was on the Quilter's Trail. Although I am told by her friends that you better not call her that.
Our team decided to travel to Hawaii for our costumes for the beach party theme this year!
Some of our Quilter's Trail travellers really get in the theme. Here is one younger member with our Jenny!
Here are 3 generations of Bathing Belles.
Here is my sister Caroline on tea duty in the classroom during a bus visit. A little different to her usual Prep classroom!
Here she is dresssed as the Mad Hatter for a school function. I guess being a bit silly runs in our family! The fabric for her tie came from the Patchwork Angel of course!
Phew! I did warn you that there was lots to see!
Hope you have enjoyed sharing with us.
