Last weekend we attended the show put on by the Gympie Rotary group which they name the Quilt and Craft Spectacular. So off we head with the car all packed. It is about a 1 hour drive north of the shop.
It is always a lovely show with a warm country feel. Here we are nearly there.
We passed some Army vehicles and noticed that their camouflage print was made up fo HEXAGONS!
Here are some photos of the lovely quilts.
This one "A Country Journal " a pattern we still have available
Here is a lovely version of " A Grandmothers Garden"
There were even hats on display!
The Widgee Craft Group had a lovely display.
I got to meet and have a book signed by the very clever Loani Priorwho likes to be known as the Tea Cozy Queen ( she laughingly told me everyone calls her the Tea Cozy Lady but she says she's the Queen!). She makes and designs really Wild Tea cozies!
Now we happened to have a very very lucky weekend. On Saturday my Darling Hubby, Chuck was buying raffle tickets in the raffles that went on all day. He won a Savory Hamper. Yum, we had some lovely nibbles with a glass of wine that night.
Then he bought more tickets on Sunday and lo and behold he won another hamper on Sunday!
Beth one of our Team Angel came to have a look at the show on Sunday and I heard today she also won a raffle prize!!
Looks like it was a pretty lucky weekend don't you think.
Now the Linus Group met on Monday in the shop for the first time and the response was amazing. Look for more on this later.
Gotta go chuck has cooked some yummy baked taters for dinner.
I wasn't able to make it to the show so it's lovely to see some pics from it. Thanks Penny.
