Thought you would like to see what we get up to for Mother's Day here on our beautiful Sunshine Coast. We were lucky enough to be able to have a picnic on Chambers Island. A little island in the middle of the Maroochy River. Of course whenever my Mum comes to a picnic she always makes something super yummy and sweet! So here are her cupcakes with Wild Violets on top.
My darling hubby brought all the picnic baskets and chairs over to the island in his tinny. We all walked over on the little pedestrian bridge. Some of the family enjoyed some fishing although nothing was caught!
As you can see my youngest Toby just loves his Nana.
Mind you Nana's word is final but she really is a softy with the Grandchildren. Rather like the stitchery pattern we have Nanny's Rules
Hope you had a lovely day with family as we did.
Don't forget to come and visit me this weekend in Toowomba at the Autumn Home and Stitches Show..
I have just put some more photos from the Quilter's Trail in the album too so take a peek.
